Schedule: Full-Time | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Compensation: $21.00 – $23.00/hour (DOE)

About the Role

As a Float Veterinary Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting all areas of the hospital. This hands-on position allows you to apply and expand your technical skills while working alongside experienced DVMs, RVTs, and fellow team members. You’ll be part of a fast-paced and collaborative environment where your expertise is trusted and appreciated.

Key Responsibilities:

Rooming patients and obtaining histories
Assisting DVMs and RVTs during exams and treatments
Performing blood draws, IVC placements, and in-house diagnostics
Taking soft tissue radiographs
Filling prescriptions and handling technician appointments
Monitoring and recovering patients from anesthesia
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicating clearly with clients and coworkers

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
Proficiency in: Blood draws, safe restraint, IVC placement, radiology, in-house lab work, and client communication

Preferred Skills:

Experience with anesthesia recovery, triage, surgical prep, and pharmacy consults
Familiarity with Cornerstone veterinary software
Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
Dependable, team-oriented, and professional demeanor
Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
