Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and IV catheter (IVC) placement proficiently and confidently
• Assist with inpatient and outpatient care, including restraint, patient prep, and recovery monitoring
• Support dental procedures, including cleanings and setup
• Assist with diagnostic imaging: radiology, ultrasound prep, and positioning
• Process and run in-house lab diagnostics
• Maintain accurate and organized patient documentation and records
• Present treatment plans and estimates, and support client education on vaccines and preventative health
• Help maintain hospital cleanliness, inventory, and organization
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, RVTs, and fellow team members in a fast-paced setting

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a small animal practice
• Proficiency in jugular and cephalic blood draws, and IVC placement
• Strong foundational skills in restraint, sample collection, and safety protocols
• Clear, professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
