Rocklin Park Veterinary Inc. is seeking a strong Veterinary Leader to join our team as a Veterinary Practice Manager at our East Sacramento Veterinary Clinic.
With 11 clinics across the Sacramento area, we offer the support and resources of a larger network while maintaining a collaborative, non-corporate culture that prioritizes our teams, patients, and clients. East Sacramento Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Practice Manager to lead our growing 3-doctor practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about building a positive hospital culture, driving operational excellence, and supporting a high-quality standard of patient care as the practice continues to grow.
Position Overview
The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the hospital, including team leadership, financial performance, client experience, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance clinical knowledge with business acumen while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality patient care
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of veterinary professionals and support staff
- Manage staff scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Monitor and drive financial performance, including budgeting, payroll, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, safety standards, and controlled substance protocols
- Partner with veterinarians to support medical quality and workflow optimization
- Maintain and enhance client experience and satisfaction
- Implement and improve hospital policies, protocols, and procedures
- Support practice growth through strategic planning and team development
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Prior experience in a veterinary practice management role
- Strong knowledge of veterinary hospital operations, workflows, and standards of care and ability to grow a clinic.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong understanding of financial management (P&L, budgeting, KPIs)
- Experience with HR functions, including hiring, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Cornerstone,etc.)
