Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team as a Dental Technician.

This position is ideal for an RVT who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has Complicated Extractions, Suturing and nerve block experience. We are also open to training new grads and RVTs without experience!

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded RVT who is:
  • Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
  • Experienced caring for hospitalized and critical patients
  • Comfortable triaging and managing intermediate to advanced medical cases
  • BLS/CPR certified or highly confident performing CPR
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills
  • Able to remain calm and effective during emergencies
  • Passionate about patient advocacy and high-quality medicine

The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled RVT who enjoys dentistry and is committed to providing exceptional patient care. Candidates should be:
  • Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
  • Experienced with dental radiology and dental charting
  • Comfortable performing full-mouth dental radiographs
  • Familiar with regional nerve blocks and advanced dental procedures
  • Confident monitoring patients through extractions and recovery
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills
  • Passionate about patient advocacy and high-quality medicine
  • Able to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Perform independently complicated extractions, nerve blocks and gingival suturing
  • Obtain high-quality full-mouth dental radiographs
  • Perform dental charting and accurately document findings
  • Place intravenous catheters
  • Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Intubate patients for anesthesia procedures
  • Monitor patient recovery and provide post-anesthetic care
  • Run in-house laboratory diagnostics as needed
  • Educate clients on dental health, home care, and treatment plans
  • Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records
  • Maintain dental equipment, instruments, and treatment areas
  • Follow OSHA, DEA, and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
Required:
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) License
  • Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and client education
Preferred:
  • Dental experience including full-mouth radiographs and complicated extractions
  • Experience with regional dental nerve blocks
  • Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience
  • Experience in a high-volume dental or specialty practice
Pay DOE-$26-$31/hr
