Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Swing Veterinary Assistant to support both general practice and urgent care. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident in their technical skills while maintaining compassion and communication with clients.
Schedule: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and collecting thorough histories
- Educating clients on vaccines, preventatives, and follow-up care
- Confident, proficient phlebotomy and IVC placement
- Triaging urgent and emergency cases
- Emergency stabilization support
- Confident anesthesia monitoring
- Performing and assisting with diagnostic radiographs
- Supporting veterinarians and fellow team members in both general and urgent care settings
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary assistant experience with Urgent Care/Emergency Background
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and IVC placement required
- Demonstrated ability to triage and stabilize emergency cases
- Confident anesthesia monitoring experience
- Skilled in client education and communication
- Comfortable in both wellness and urgent care environments
- Team player with a positive, dependable work ethic
Compensation & Hours
- Pay: $21-$24/hr Based on Experience
- Shift: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
