Roomer positions are Vet Assistants that will work along side the DVM in appointments, gain client history, educate clients on preventative health products/vaccine schedules, go over estimates in depth to generate client understanding. You must have excellent client services skills, the desire and ability to work closely along side our doctors, great medical terminology and knowledge of commonly used drugs in the veterinary field. Phlebotomy and IVC placement skills preferred but will train
Floor positions are Vet Assistants that are utilized more as a floater with less client interaction-running blood, IVC placement, Blood draws, Diagnostic xrays etc.
Kennel position is entry level-walking, feeding, cleaning and supporting veterinary staffing.

We are open:
Monday - Friday: 7:30am – 6:00pm.
Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Our facility is equipped with:
- (2) Completely outfitted surgical suites
- Idexx in-house laboratory equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue, Coag Dx, etc.)
- Area of the hospital dedicated to advanced dentistry
- Digital X-ray and digital dental X-ray systems
- Ultrasound
- Full in-house pharmacy
- Oxygen cage
Veterinary Assistants must possess excellent customer service and computer skills as well as technical skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Assist veterinarians during exams, treatment, or procedures.
● Proper restraint techniques.
● Taking Diagnostic X-rays
● Client communication and education
● Preventive wellness.
● Proficient at Blood Draws/IVC Placement
● Run in-house lab-work.
● Medication administration.
● Prescription filling practices.
● General cleaning.
● Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
● Ability to think critically; understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
● Exhibit strong problem solving and an organized approach to the position.
● Assist other departments when needed.
● Follow OSHA regulations.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
● Frequently required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, talk, and listen, frequently working in a bent position.
● Frequently use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; will reach with hands and arms.
● Use strength or agility in capturing and restraining stronger, more active animals.
● Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
● Occasionally handle dogs weighing up to and over 150 lbs. Assistance will be provided by animal handlers when working with larger animals.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards associated with aggressive patients; hazards associated with infected animals and controlled substances; exposure to unpleasant odors and noises; exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes; possible exposure to contagious diseases. Follow federal and state animal health laws and regulations including OSHA and DEA.
