We are open:
Monday - Friday: 7:30am – 6:00pm.
Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Our facility is equipped with:
- (2) Completely outfitted surgical suites
- Idexx in-house laboratory equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue, Coag Dx, etc.)
- Area of the hospital dedicated to advanced dentistry
- Digital X-ray and digital dental X-ray systems
- Ultrasound
- Full in-house pharmacy
- Oxygen cage
Ideal candidates will:
- Have a minimum of 1 year previous experience as a customer service representative in a veterinary hospital.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a moderate to advanced understanding of medical terminology.
- Perform clerical and public contact duties with professionalism including emergency situations.
- Have experience with data entry.
- Know proper payment processing procedures.
- Be able to schedule follow up appointments.
- Process prescription refill requests.
- Exercise technical knowledge of OTC and prescription products sold.
- Accurately relay the owner's account of the medical complaint(s) for the animal(s) involved to the healthcare team members who will be involved in treating the patient(s).
- Have knowledge of medical record control schedules.
- Be able to open the practice in the morning and close the practice in the evening.
- Make follow-up calls after surgical procedures or in-depth medical cases to check on patients.
- Be able to manage basic cleaning procedures of common areas.
- Be able to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Support the mission and vision of the practice.
- Follow OSHA regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Preference given to candidates with:
- 2 years experience as a Veterinary Customer Service Representative.
- Familiarity with Cornerstone
PHYSICAL EFFORT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
- Frequently position themselves and move about the reception area to file, use office machinery such as fax machines and computers, and assist clients with merchandise.
- Frequently transports inventory to stock shelves. Frequently handling 30 pounds and occasionally handling 50 pounds.
- Often transports patients to weigh on scales.
- Frequently required to communicate with clients, team members and associates. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards associated with aggressive patients; hazards associated with infected animals and controlled substances; exposure to unpleasant odors and noises; exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes; possible exposure to contagious diseases.
